Magneti Marelli Checkstar renews its partnership with the WES World e-Bike Series

The World e-Bike Series (WES), the unique and exclusive e-Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup for electrically assisted bikes, recognised by UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), will once again see our Magneti Marelli Checkstar network as Official Partner for the 2023 season.

During the various stages of this European-style championship, the brand representing our network of workshops will be clearly visible along each of the racetracks, and a team of young enthusiasts will be wearing our colours, proudly displaying the Magneti Marelli Checkstar - Hybrid & Electric concept. The fastest lap in each stage will be awarded the Magneti Marelli Checkstar Power Lap, which will also be presented at the end of the season to the male and the female riders with the most fast laps gained over the entire championship. What’s more, the races in the WES championship will be broadcast by the Eurosport channel, ensuring even more visibility towards the general public.

Our sponsorship of WES allows us on the one hand to present our Magneti Marelli Checkstar network to an ever-widening audience of enthusiasts, and on the other to stress how the network is ready to take on the challenges of electric mobility. With the Hybrid & Electric concept, our mechanics can draw on concrete support in terms of equipment, training and technical assistance, allowing them to work in a professional manner on hybrid and electric vehicles, offering car owners state-of-the-art services. 
 

The various stages of the WES championship

Since its debut in 2019, the traditional inaugural stage has taken place in Monaco - this year on 20-21 May - on the thrilling course in the mountain area looking out over the Monaco Bay. The second stage has been confirmed in the hills of Bologna on 10 and 11 June. Following the summer break, the championship will travel to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, dates to be confirmed, and this will be followed by two rounds: in Girona, Spain, on 22-23 September, and in Clermont-Ferrand, France, on 30 September-1 October. The last appointment of the season will take place in Barcelona, Spain, on 21 October, and will see the announcement of the overall winners for 2023.
